Proactive Policing Lab Opens
From the lab to the streets, Mason researchers are at the forefront of discovery. The Proactive Policing Lab, part of the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Policy at Mason, is studying the relationship between police and the citizens they serve. Police agencies are not always successful at measuring when, how, or how often officers are proactive, and assessing the results of those actions. That’s what the lab aims to find out through data analysis and systematic observations, in partnership with police departments.
