Gill Earns Carnegie Fellowship.

Charlotte Gill, an assistant professor in the Department of Criminology, Law and Society, is one of 35 recipients of the Carnegie Fellowship, an award worth up to $200,000, the largest stipend of its kind. Gill will examine the role of police-community partnerships in crime prevention in Appalachian Kentucky to fill in a knowledge gap related to rural crime. She is the second Mason professor in three years to receive the Carnegie Fellowship, following University Professor Louise Shelley in 2015.
